Dr Zhou has spent her career in gynaecological clinical work, research and teaching. She performs gynaecological surgery at every level: abdominal and laparoscopic radical surgery for gynaecological malignancy, minimally invasive surgery for endometriosis and infertility, and complex hysteroscopy. She also manages benign and malignant gynaecological tumours and cervical lesions to a standardised protocol, with individualised, finely tuned handling of cervical cancer screening and pre-cancerous change.
She has led three provincial projects, including a Natural Science Foundation project and a provincial medical research fund, plus one municipal science and technology project; she is associate chief editor of two monographs and has published more than ten papers in Chinese and SCI-indexed journals as first or corresponding author. While serving as a volunteer medical expert at Nyingchi People’s Hospital in Tibet, she filled several local clinical gaps and treated a large number of critically ill patients, and is known there as “Menba Meiduo” — the flower of doctors.
