Dr Dong was a visiting scholar at the University of Modena in Italy. She is expert in minimally invasive and vaginal surgery, particularly transumbilical (NOTES) and transvaginal (vNOTES) single-port laparoscopy, laparoscopic radical surgery for pelvic malignancy and benign tumours, and hysteroscopy. She also performs open radical surgery for malignant tumours and has extensive experience of mesh-based pelvic floor reconstruction for uterine prolapse and stress urinary incontinence.
She has led seven provincial and municipal research projects and published more than ten papers.
