Professional Profile

Dr Zhou treats adult gliomas, meningiomas, pituitary tumours, acoustic neuromas and central neurocytomas, together with paediatric germ cell tumours and medulloblastoma, using combined chemoradiotherapy and integrated management. She has a particular research interest in re-irradiation and combined treatment for recurrent glioma, where her protocols have measurably extended average survival for this group of patients.

For tumours elsewhere in the body — lung, gynaecological, breast, gastrointestinal and melanoma — she plans radiotherapy precisely, and when a secondary brain metastasis develops she combines it with stereotactic radiosurgery (CyberKnife, HyperArc, Edge, and other platforms) so that intracranial disease stays controlled, survival is extended and quality of life is preserved.
